Part 3 Break Room Blood

Part 3 — Everybody in the city woke up messy every day.

But inside Billings Inc?
The drama had turned poisonous.
Folks wasn’t even coming to work for paychecks no more.
They came for the chaos.
Everybody wanted updates on Josie.
On Deja.
On Terrance.
On who was sleeping with who.
And after those anonymous phone calls?
Fear entered the building too.
Josie walked through the office that Wednesday morning with shades covering her eyes.
Not because she was trying to look cute.
Because she hadn’t slept.
Every sound outside her apartment kept making her jump.
Every passing car felt suspicious.
And those phone calls replayed nonstop in her head.
Leave Terrance alone before somebody get hurt.
That wasn’t jealousy anymore.
That sounded like a threat.
Deja looked just as stressed.
She sat at her desk chewing gum aggressively while staring at Terrance office through narrowed eyes.
Terrance had spent the last three days avoiding both women.
No texts.
No flirting.
No slick smiles.
Just silence.
And somehow?
That silence felt more disrespectful than the cheating.
Around 10AM HR finally stepped in.
An email blasted across everybody computer screens.
MANDATORY MEETING — CONFERENCE ROOM B
The entire floor started whispering instantly.
“Ohhhh somebody getting fired.”
“Probably them girls.”
“Nah probably Terrance.”
“Management ain’t firing that man.”
And honestly?
Everybody knew that last part was true.
Inside the conference room sat three senior managers pretending they cared about “professional conduct.”
Including Denise Holloway.
Denise folded her hands dramatically.
“We’ve received complaints involving inappropriate workplace relationships.”
The room stayed quiet.
Terrance sat calm as hell in the corner.
Like this was another Tuesday.
Josie wanted to throw a chair at his face.
Denise continued carefully.
“We want to remind employees that hostile work environments will not be tolerated.”
Deja almost laughed out loud.
Hostile?
This man slept with multiple employees under management authority and THEY talking about hostility?
Billings Inc was a damn circus.
Then Denise said something that made the whole room freeze.
“Additional women have come forward regarding Mr. Caldwell.”
Terrance finally looked nervous.
Just a little.
But Josie caught it.
Deja caught it too.
And suddenly both women realized something ugly:
They weren’t special.
They weren’t the first.
A thick girl in the back raised her hand slowly.
Kendra Miles.
Claims department.
Light skin.
Neck tattoo.
Mean eyes.
The type of woman who looked like she fought outside clubs for fun.
She leaned back in her chair.
“Since we being honest… Terrance slept with me too.”
The entire room exploded.
“Oh SHIT.”
“I knew it!”
“Ain’t no damn way.”
Terrance immediately stood up.
“Kendra stop playing.”
“Playing?” she snapped. “Nigga you was just at my apartment LAST WEEK.”
Josie mouth dropped open.
Deja cursed under her breath.
And Denise looked seconds away from quitting her damn job.
Terrance tried regaining control fast.
“Kendra emotional. We not together.”
Kendra stood up instantly.
“And that’s your problem right there. You think every woman emotional cause YOU a lying ass dog.”
Employees started recording again.
Phones everywhere.
Terrance hated that.
Because he couldn’t manipulate cameras.
Then things got worse.
Kendra turned toward Josie and Deja.
“You two ain’t the only ones. That man been running through Billings for YEARS.”
Silence.
Pure silence.
Some women lowered their eyes.
Others looked embarrassed.
A few looked angry.
And one woman quietly walked out crying.
That told everybody enough.
Terrance face hardened.
“This turning into harassment now.”
Josie snapped immediately.
“NIGGA YOU harassing people!”
“Watch your tone.”
“Nah watch your dick!”
The room ERUPTED.
Managers yelling.
Employees gasping.
Somebody laughed loud as hell.
Denise slammed her folder against the table.
“ENOUGH!”
But wasn’t nothing under control anymore.
Not now.
Later that evening Deja asked Josie to meet her outside after work.
At first Josie almost ignored her.
But something felt different now.
This wasn’t about fighting each other anymore.
This was survival.
They met outside a corner store near downtown Greenbrier.
Rain drizzled lightly while cars hissed down wet streets.
For a second neither woman spoke.
Then Deja sighed.
“That nigga played both of us.”
Josie folded her arms tightly.
“And probably half the damn building.”
Deja laughed bitterly.
“Facts.”
There was still tension between them.
Still hurt.
Still pride.
But underneath all that?
Both women realized they’d been manipulated.
And somehow that hurt worse than cheating.
Deja pulled out her phone.
“I started digging into Terrance.”
Josie frowned. “What you mean digging?”
“I mean something off about him.”
She opened screenshots.
Fake phone numbers.
CashApp payments to random women.
Late-night texts.
And one message that made Josie stomach twist:
“If you ruin my career, I’ll ruin your life.”
Sent from Terrance phone.
Josie looked up slowly.
“That nigga crazy.”
“Exactly.”
Deja eyes darted around nervously.
“And somebody been following me.”
Josie face changed immediately.
“What?”
“Black car. Tinted windows. Been outside my apartment twice.”
“Did you call police?”
Deja shook her head.
“Ain’t got proof.”
Before Josie could answer…
A black Charger rolled slowly past them.
Music low.
Windows dark.
Both women froze.
Because they recognized that car instantly.
Terrance.
The Charger slowed down.
Then kept going.
But before it disappeared down the block…
The passenger window lowered slightly.
And somebody inside took a picture of them.
FLASH.
Then the car sped off.
Neither woman spoke for several seconds.
Rain fell harder now.
Josie heart pounded violently.
Deja whispered first.
“…Nah this getting dangerous.”
And deep down?
Both of them knew something terrible was coming.
